Provincial Social Insurance gives voluntary social insurance books and health insurance cards in Ky Son and Quy Hop

At the People's Committee of Huu Kiem Commune (Ky Son)Provincial Social Insurance and BIDV Nghe An Branch organized a program to give voluntary social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Van Minh - Director of the Provincial Social Insurance affirmed that social insurance and health insurance are two important social policies of the Party and the State. With the attention, leadership, direction, coordination and support of all levels, sectors and the business community, the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies in the province has achieved many important results, with more and more workers and people participating and enjoying the benefits of social insurance and health insurance policies.

However, in Nghe An province in general, Ky Son district in particular, the number of people in difficult circumstances who have not yet enjoyed the benefits of medical examination and treatment is still high, the rate of people participating in voluntary social insurance is still low. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen communication work so that everyone is fully aware of the role and significance of voluntary social insurance and health insurance; as well as continue to mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, and employees of the provincial social insurance agency to donate a part of their salary, increase the call for support and companionship of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to give voluntary social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

At the program, with the support fund from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Nghe An Branch, the Provincial Social Insurance organized the program "Giving social insurance books, health insurance cards - Sowing kindness, spreading love" for 50 people of Ky Son district. Of which, 30 voluntary social insurance books were given to households in communes and towns in the district; 20 health insurance cards were given to 20 people in difficult circumstances in Huu Kiem commune worth more than 61 million VND.

In Quy Hop,The district Social Insurance coordinated with the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district to present 63 social insurance books and 125 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in the area with a total value of nearly 163 million VND.

This is a practical activity demonstrating the timely concern and encouragement of units, businesses, individuals and the district Social Insurance agency to help people, especially those in difficult circumstances, receive health care, prevent risks in life, reduce difficulties when unfortunately falling ill, and at the same time contribute to increasing the health insurance coverage rate.
