Early completion of Nghe An Enterprise Development Project to 2025

Implementing Action Program No. 03-CTr/TU dated December 25, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee and Decision No. 69/QD-UBND dated January 13, 2021 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on promulgating the Plan to implement the program of activities according to the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the Department of Planning and Investment is currently continuing to complete the Project on developing Nghe An enterprises to 2025.

By the end of 2020, there were 23,404 enterprises in Nghe An.Register to establishnew, of which the number of enterprises actually operating and generating tax is 13,220 units, increasing by an average of 9.9%/year in the period 2016 - 2020.

The rapid increase in the number of enterprises has contributed significantly to attracting labor and creating jobs for the economy. In particular, the number of employees working in the enterprise sector in 2016 was 192,286 people, by 2020 it was 221,205 people, an average increase of 3.6%/year.

However, the reality in Nghe An is that most businesses are small and micro-sized, so their competitiveness compared to other businesses in the region is not high. Not to mention that many businesses have not yet approached and applied modern business methods, so many products made by businesses are not widely known in the market.

According to statistics, in the first 6 months of 2021, Nghe An province had 1,003 newly established enterprises; 319 branches and representative offices were newly established; 484 enterprises registered to resume operations. However, at the same time, 653 enterprises registered to stop operations, and 85 enterprises were forced to dissolve.

According to the ProjectNghe An Business DevelopmentBy 2025, the Department of Planning and Investment has developed and received comments from departments, branches, districts and towns. Nghe An strives to have 30,000 enterprises by 2025, of which 20,000 enterprises operate effectively. To implement this, the province has proposed 7 groups of support solutions, including: Propagating enterprise development, developing the quantity and improving the quality of enterprises; investing in completing infrastructure; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of enterprises; continuing to improve and improve the efficiency of business association organizations; improving the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises.

According to the project, small and medium-sized enterprises will receive separate support in human resource development and promotion, market expansion, access to credit, legal advice information; encourage businesses to transform digitally; support startups, innovation, creativity and businesses when participating in industry clusters, creating new value chains; support for warehouses, transportation fees, etc.
