Nghe An mountain girl rescued after 6 years of being tricked and sold to become a foreign wife

The Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) informed that it had just successfully rescued a victim who was trafficked to China 6 years ago. The unit has completed the procedures to bring the victim back to Vietnam and hand her over to her family.

LTPN (born 1999, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong) is a victim who was just rescued by the Criminal Police Department. She was sold to China at the age of 15.

In 2014, N.'s parents had constant conflicts leading to a divorce. N. lived with her father, but he was always drunk and didn't pay any attention to his daughter. Lacking the care and education of his parents, N. went online and was lured by bad people to work in China.

Specifically, N. was invited by a friend to work in a shoe factory with a salary equivalent to about 9 million VND. Already upset because of family problems, and being introduced to a job with a high salary, N. did not think twice and accepted the offer. The mountain girl did not know that it was just a trap of human traffickers. After that time, N. was taken to China but her father did not know. Only when his daughter was gone for a long time did he report to the police.

As for N., after being sent to China, some subjects in this network still let N. work for about 1 month but did not receive salary with the reason that it had been deducted from the cost of sending N. to work here. The miserable working environment and bad treatment made the young girl cry and ask to return home. At this time, the subjects said they would introduce her to another job that was easier but had a high salary.

N. once again believed them. The young girl was taken to the home of a Chinese man to be his wife. Later, N. learned that she was sold to this man for 70,000 yuan.

N. gave birth to two children for this man, one 3 years old and one under 2 years old. However, life at her husband's house was also humiliating and degrading as she was constantly tortured and beaten, so in April 2019, N. tried to escape back to Vietnam. During the escape, N. got lost and tried to signal the authorities for rescue.

From N's call for help, investigators from Team 6, Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) investigated and coordinated with the Blue Dragon organization to rescue the victim. At the end of April 2019, the authorities successfully rescued LTPN, but it was not until June 16, 2019, that the authorities of the two countries finished their work and handed over the victim to Nghe An Police.

At the time of being sold, N. was still young and was deaf, so the police were unable to collect any information about the people involved in the ring that brought N. across the border to China.
