Sri Lanka arrests two key suspects in terrorist bombing

Sri Lankan police have arrested two key suspects in the terrorist attack, the Ada Derana news portal reported, citing law enforcement officials.

As the press clarified, the arrested subjects were two brothers Mohamed Saadik Abdul Haq and Mohamed Saahid Abdul Haq.

On Sunday (April 21), during Easter celebrations in Sri Lanka, eight bomb explosions occurred: the first six in Colombo, Negombo and Battikaloa, the seventh in Dehiwala, and the eighth in the suburbs of Colombo. Another bomb was found on the road leading to Bandaranaike International Airport.

According to data from the country's Ministry of Health, between 250 and 260 people were killed in terrorist attacks.

IS claimed responsibility for the attacks. According to a statement by investigators, nine suicide bombers were involved in the attacks, eight of whom have been identified.
