Suzuki launches 'genuine' 150cc manual clutch motorbike at good price
The new Suzuki Gixxer for the Japanese home market is quite a bit better than the version sold in India of this 150cc manual clutch bike.
Making waves in India with a selling price of just over or under 30 million VND depending on the version, Suzuki Gixxer is a name that makes Vietnamese consumers "crave". However, this hot item is only sold in the Indian market, and is almost unlikely to come to Vietnam. If it does, it won't be cheap. However, Gixxers made in India have started to return home with double the price.
Suzuki Gixxer in Japan has more equipment. |
In Japan, the car is sold for 356,440 yen, equivalent to 3,000 USD (about 68.6 million VND). The price is more than double the cost of transportation, import and sales. In addition, the quality of the car is also invested more to meet the standards of a demanding market like Japan.
Accordingly, the vehicle uses electronic fuel injection technology instead of carburetor, disc brakes instead of rear drum brakes. These features are only available on the most expensive Gixxer SF variant in India. Other features of the vehicle include 41 mm telescopic front forks, 7-level adjustable monoshock at the rear and large 140 mm rear tires. The instrument cluster has an integrated LCD screen. The vehicle has 3 different paint color options.
The Suzuki Gixxer is twice as expensive in the Indian market but is still quite cheap in Japan. |
In terms of power, the Suzuki Gixxer still uses a 154 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 13.6 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The vehicle only uses a 5-speed gearbox, with a gear indicator light on the instrument cluster.
