Discovering that cabin 15 was empty, the driver deliberately set up a scene to blind the toll collector at cabin 14 so that the assistant could easily steal money.

Information from District 2 Police (HCMC) said that they have arrested 3 subjects including: Do Thanh Hiep (32 years old, from An Giang province, temporarily residing in Di An town, Binh Duong province), Nguyen Trung Quy (20 years old, residing in Thu Duc district), Nguyen An Khuong (17 years old, residing in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province) to investigate and handle the act of "theft of property".

Initial information said that Hiep was a driver for a transport company in Ho Chi Minh City. Because he often drove through the Phu My Bridge toll station (Thanh My Loi Ward, District 2), he knew that at night there was little traffic and toll station staff were often off guard.

Hiep, along with Quy and Khuong, planned to steal money from the Phu My bridge toll station. At around 2:00 a.m. on October 15, Khuong rode his motorbike ahead to scout the situation.

Discovering that cabin number 15 of employee Nguyen Hoang Anh Tuan was half-closed and empty, Khuong informed Hiep and Quy.

At this time, Hiep drove up, deliberately setting up a scene to blind the toll collector at cabin number 14 so that Quy could steal the money. At the same time, Khuong ran behind Hiep's car, then pretended to have a broken car to block other vehicles.

In just 30 seconds, Quy "stole" 9.4 million VND from cabin number 14, then quickly jumped into the car and escaped.

Early in the morning of the same day, while handing over money to hand over the shift, Mr. Tuan discovered that the money was missing, so he quickly reported it to the Board of Directors of Phu My Company and the District 2 Police Department. Through camera footage, the authorities discovered the entire incident and began searching for the group of suspects.

By October 20, the police had successfully arrested the three suspects. At the same time, they recovered the lost money and returned it to Phu My Company. The case is still being investigated and handled by the authorities./.
