Driver fainted, trapped in cabin after collision with oncoming truck
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 4, the authorities of Nghia Binh commune (Tan Ky) said that an accident had just occurred in the area, causing traffic congestion for many hours.
At 20:10 on October 3, while traveling from Lat Town to Hamlet 6, Nghia Binh Commune (Tan Ky), a sand truck with license plate 37 C-260.77 driven by Nguyen Trung Kien, born in 1989, residing in Dien Yen Commune (Dien Chau) was hit head-on by a car with license plate 30E-116.73 driven by Pham Dinh Son, born in 1963, residing in Da Son Commune (Do Luong) coming from Nghia Dan, carrying three people (including 2 adults and 1 child).

The strong collision caused the car to spin, flatten, and be completely damaged. The driver was stuck in the cabin. The front of the sand truck was badly damaged, the front axle was broken, the left light was broken, and oil spilled onto the road.
Hearing the loud noise, the people around quickly arrived. It took 25 minutes, thanks to a passenger bus that had a rope attached, to pry open the car door and get the driver out of the car. The driver was taken to Nghia Binh Commune Health Station by the people and the truck owner for first aid. According to the initial examination results, Mr. Son suffered severe chest injuries due to a strong impact on the steering wheel, lost consciousness on the spot and was transferred to Tan Ky District Medical Center for further treatment.

It is known that the accident happened right on Nguyen Binh Son bridge which is currently under repair. Although there was a barrier in the repair area, the car driver still drove straight into the left lane right when the sand truck was approaching.
The accident caused traffic congestion for nearly 6 hours. At exactly 24:30 the same day, the accident area was cleared.

Currently, Tan Ky District Police are coordinating with Nghia Binh Commune Police to investigate the cause of the accident.
