Drug-addicted driver recklessly breaks through checkpoint, causes multiple accidents
A drug-using driver recklessly broke through a quarantine checkpoint, causing a series of accidents. He was arrested after the police used many heavy vehicles to block the checkpoint.
According to initial information, at 9:00 a.m. on June 18, driver Vu Dinh Duc (born in 1986, residing in Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province) drove a tractor with license plate 51C-262.09 pulling a trailer with license plate 60R-002.94 carrying many lighting poles in the direction of Can Tho - Bac Lieu on the Quan Lo - Phung Hiep route.

The patrol force of Nga Nam Town Police informed the units of Soc Trang Province Police to coordinate in stopping the car. After reaching Phu Loc Town, Duc turned right on National Highway 1 towards Bac Lieu.
When arriving at the toll station in Bac Lieu province, Duc drove his car past the toll station and then turned back towards Soc Trang after colliding with several other vehicles at the toll station, causing an accident for passersby.

On one hand, the Traffic Police of Nga Nam Town Police followed and prevented the tractor-trailer driver from causing another accident, and on the other hand, notified the Traffic Police Department of Soc Trang Province Police and other units to coordinate in arresting this reckless driver.
When arriving at Dai Tam commune (My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province), Duc's car encountered obstacles in the form of many heavy vehicles requisitioned by the Soc Trang Traffic Police to block the road.
Instead of stopping, Duc recklessly drove his car into the vehicles blocking the road, causing damage to these vehicles and the left front of the tractor-trailer he was driving was crushed. Duc was arrested by the checkpoint force and people on both sides of the road at around 10am that same day.
Through a quick test, the authorities discovered that Duc tested positive for crystal meth. At the police station, Duc confessed to investigators that he had previously used crystal meth.
