The driver of the 7-seat car that caused the accident on Highway 48 had alcohol concentration in his breath.

(Baonghean.vn) - While traveling on National Highway 48 (Nghe An), a 7-seat car and a pickup truck collided, causing quite serious damage to both vehicles.

The accident occurred at 2:00 p.m. on June 6 at km 14+500 of National Highway 48B, passing through Hamlet 7, Quynh My Commune, Quynh Luu District, Nghe An.

At the above time, Ho Van Thang (residing in hamlet 1, Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district) was driving a 7-seat car with license plate 37A 44214 from Quynh Chau to Cau Giat. When reaching the above location, he collided with a pickup truck running in the opposite direction with license plate 38C 09168, causing the car to fly to the side of the road and be severely damaged. Thang's car had damage to the front end and drove about 50m away from the scene before stopping.

Through on-site inspection, Major Chu Ho Duc Dung - Deputy Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Quynh Luu District Police, along with officers directly measured the alcohol concentration of the two drivers and discovered that driver Ho Van Thang had alcohol concentration in his breath.

Quynh Luu District Police are currently handling the case.
