(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, Tan Ky District People's Committee held a conference to summarize poverty reduction and job creation work in 2018 and deploy tasks and directions for 2019. During the year, 56 poor households voluntarily wrote applications to leave poverty.

In 2018, Tan Ky district regularly directed poverty reduction work, organized well social security measures, vocational training, job creation, and promptly implemented policies to support the poor. In particular, the district paid attention to difficult communes with high risk of re-poverty, re-near-poverty, and communes registered to reach the new rural destination.
During the year, Tan Ky created new jobs for 2,450 workers, helped nearly 2,300 poor and near-poor households get preferential loans with an amount of nearly 83 billion VND. Thanks to that, the poverty rate of Tan Ky district decreased to 6.48%, exceeding the target of the District Party Congress Resolution.

In particular, Tan Ky has 56 poor households voluntarily writing applications to escape poverty. This result shows that there has been a synchronous participation of the entire political system in poverty reduction and job creation.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tan Ky district awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in poverty reduction and job creation in 2018./.
