Mr. Le Manh Hung in Cua Den hamlet, Nghia Dung commune has the largest pig farm in Tan Ky district today, with over 1,500 pigs. Therefore, these days, he absolutely does not allow outsiders to step into the barn area. Not only that, his family members are very limited in going to the market or going far away, to avoid bringing African swine fever home. At the same time, Mr. Hung has increased the spraying of chemicals and lime powder inside and outside the barn area.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: In the solutions to prevent African swine fever that the district has implemented, a strong focus is placed on propaganda work, so that each person understands that African swine fever only affects pigs and the family economy, and does not spread to humans.
In addition, the State's support policy for pigs destroyed due to African swine fever is promoted, with the aim of making people not "turn their backs" on pork and promptly reporting when pigs are sick.

In Nghia Dong commune, where the epidemic is occurring, 4 quarantine checkpoints were set up, absolutely not allowing people to transport pigs in and out of the locality; at the same time, pig slaughtering is strictly prohibited.
At the same time, organize cleaning of public places, spraying disinfectants on roads and market places with a frequency of 1 time/day in the first week for communes with epidemics. Communes in threatened areas and buffer zones spray chemicals on all traffic routes with a frequency of 1 time/week.

Tan Ky has the Ho Chi Minh Highway running through it. Furthermore, the locality has a large area, many mineral mines, construction materials, and a large number of trucks transporting goods from the lowlands every day, so epidemic prevention work is somewhat difficult and many materials and chemicals must be used in the epidemic prevention process.
Therefore, Tan Ky district is making a request to the province to provide an additional 135 liters of chemicals, support 2 engine sprayers, 50 protective suits, and 50 anticoagulant blood collection tubes./.
Mr. Le Duc Tinh - Head of Tan Ky District Veterinary Station added that in the late afternoon of March 28, the Station took samples of 2 pigs that died of disease from Mr. Do Ngoc Minh's family in Hamlet 9, Nghia Dong Commune and sent them to the Regional Veterinary Agency III for testing. Currently, the District Veterinary Station is continuing to monitor the remaining 17 pigs of Mr. Minh's family.
