For the area of ​​more than 3,000 hectares of rice planted before Tet, the rice is currently in the tillering stage, farmers focus on fertilizing with NPK at a rate of about 15-17 kg/sao. For the later planting area, farmers actively take water into the field with the water level always kept stable at about 2-3 cm for the rice to grow well and tiller in concentration.

According to the report of the district Plant Protection Station, some spring rice fields in the area have been damaged by golden apple snails and green aphids on rice plants. Although the damage density is low, the district's agricultural sector promptly directed the communes to stay close to the fields, check the pest situation to have timely and effective prevention measures, and strive to achieve victory in productivity and output according to the set plan.

Previously, due to cold weather, more than 2,000 hectares of rice in Tan Ky were frozen to death and the district provided short-term rice varieties such as Vat Tu NA2, Xuyen Huong 178, Thien Uu 8, and sticky rice DT52 for farmers to continue production, closing the area.
