Ms. Thuy shared: “My family is one of three households chosen to be a homestay to serve tourists. When it was first established and put into operation at the end of 2019, we encountered many difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic. However, when the State controlled the epidemic, the number of visitors increased significantly. Our community tourism site is becoming more and more known, up to now, it has welcomed about 500 visitors to visit the brocade weaving village, enjoy the cuisine, and cultural programs...”.

In fact, Tan Ky district has many advantages to develop various types of tourism such as: historical relic tourism, eco-tourism and community-based tourism. For historical relic tourism, the highlight is the special national relic Km 0 - Ho Chi Minh road; Le Loi citadel historical relic site, Dung village communal house, Sen village communal house, Song Dong Ngoc Nu temple... For eco-tourism, the district has extremely diverse, rich and attractive natural landscapes such as: Mo cave system in Tien Ky, Bon waterfall in Tan Hop, Thung Khien cave cluster, Khe Xanh in Nghia Phuc, Tan An; rich lake and dam system and poetic Con river...

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Tan Ky district, in the period of 2017 - 2019, the district welcomed about 12,000 - 15,000 visitors/year. Of which, the number of staying guests accounted for about 10-12% of the number of annual visitors. Tourism-related income is mainly from food and beverage business, local products and accommodation.
Currently, the district has 18 accommodation establishments, including 4 hotels, 12 motels, guesthouses and 2 guest houses with a total of 236 rooms, 388 beds, and a system of stilt houses that can be renovated to receive guests (currently there are 3 homestay models/ a total of 135 stilt houses in Tien Ky commune).![]() |

Pay attention to infrastructure conditions
