Tan Ky enhances the value of Cua brick and tile products.
(Baonghean.vn) - After two years of implementing the "Project for the Development of Construction Material Production in Tan Ky District, giai đoạn 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030", Tan Ky district has achieved positive results, especially bricks, tiles, and fired clay products bearing the Cua tile brand, which are produced on high-tech production lines.
Application of automated production lines
In 2006, the Cua Tile Village Production, Business and Service Cooperative in Nghia Hoan commune, Tan Ky district, was established. Through its production and business activities, the cooperative has gained the trust of customers both within and outside the province. The Cua tile brand has been established and is increasingly chosen by customers.
In particular, in 2007, Cừa roof tiles were granted trademark protection under Decision No. 4068/QD-SHTT issued by the Intellectual Property Office on April 10, 2007. This was one of the earliest protected products in Nghe An province and was a crucial factor in spreading the Cừa roof tile brand. The product quickly became available throughout Nghe An province, as well as in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, and even in Xieng Khouang and Khammouane provinces of Laos. Due to strong sales, a significant number of people in Nghia Hoan commune engaged in Cừa roof tile production experienced a significant improvement in their lives.
To date, after many years of implementing the local government's investment attraction policy, brick and tile production in Tan Ky district has received investment, with the entire production process carried out on modern robotic technology lines, resulting in high-quality products that meet the increasingly high demands of the market.
At the Tan Ky Tunnel Brick and Tile Factory in Ky Son commune, using new and modern technology from Germany, Hungary, and Vietnam, they produce building bricks made from clay: solid fired bricks and fired bricks with 2-6 holes; and fired tiles. Using vacuum extrusion technology and electric heating and drying, the products meet the highest possible standards of stability. The total capacity of the factory is 40 million bricks/year.
In the production areas, only a few workers are present, pressing buttons to control the robotic machinery that operates continuously for hours on end. An engineer from the Tan Ky Tunnel Brick and Tile Factory stated: "Now, with production on an automated 4.0 line, the number of workers needed has been reduced from 400 when we worked manually to just 50 operating the machines. Not only that, the products are more beautiful and of higher quality. This is a success for the factory in particular and for Tan Ky bricks and tiles in general."
It is known that in Tan Ky district, there are also a number of high-quality fired clay brick and tile production facilities in several communes that have been applying new production technologies for many years, producing high-quality products that meet the needs of the construction materials market.
Initial success of a project
Over the years, the Tan Ky District Party Committee and People's Committee have focused on directing the development of construction materials production into a key industry of the district.
Accordingly, Tan Ky district issued the Project "Development of Construction Materials Production in Tan Ky District in the period 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030", aiming to increase industrial production value, contribute to increasing budget revenue and shift the district's economic structure towards industrialization and modernization, always affirming the important position of the construction materials production industry in the district's economy. The development of construction materials production has contributed to job creation in the district, increased income for workers, and improved people's living standards.
According to the plan, for fired clay roof tiles, the 2021-2025 period will stabilize production, creating high-quality roof tiles from two brick and tile factories: Hoang Nguyen Brick and Tile Factory (Nghia Dung commune) and Binh An Brick and Tile Factory (Tan Long), with a capacity of 35 million tiles/year; complete the construction of a high-tech brick and tile factory invested by the Cua Village Tile Craft Service Cooperative in Nghia Hoan commune industrial cluster, with a capacity of approximately 20 million tiles/year, bringing the "Cua Tile" brand back to the market inside and outside the province; and complete and put into operation the tile factory invested by Cua State-owned Trading Company Limited in Nghia Hoan commune with a capacity of approximately 13 million tiles/year.
Attracting investment for 1-2 more high-tech glazed tile factories in the district, producing high-quality, environmentally friendly gas-fired tiles with a capacity of approximately 30-40 million tiles per year. The goal is to reach a total production of 70-80 million fired clay tiles per year in Tan Ky district by 2025, sufficient to supply the market within the district and neighboring districts.
According to the plan, the goal for the 2025-2030 period is to maximize the capacity of existing facilities from the previous phase, with a total capacity of 70-80 million tiles per year. By 2030, the total capacity of fired tiles in the entire district will exceed 120 million tiles per year, including approximately 70 million tunnel kiln tiles and approximately 50 million high-tech glazed tiles per year.
Mr. Phan Van Giap, Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee, stated: Tan Ky District is considered to have favorable conditions for the development of construction materials, especially bricks and tiles. This includes clay mines in the communes of Nghia Hoan, Nghia Thai, Tan Long, Nghia Dung, Nghia Phuc, Dong Van, Nghia Hanh, etc., with reserves exceeding 760 million tons. After more than two years of implementing the "Project for the Development of Construction Material Production in Tan Ky District, giai đoạn 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030," initial positive results have been achieved.
In fact, the brick and tile production lines of Tam Tai Construction and Transportation Joint Stock Company and Hoang Nguyen Limited Liability Company are proof of the initial success of the project, after years of testing and applying science and technology to production, meeting the increasingly high demands of consumers in the market. Currently, the District People's Committee is assigning specialized departments and agencies to review and evaluate the implementation results, and from there, continue to take more decisive measures, with the spirit of maximizing the potential and advantages of Tan Ky in construction materials. Based on that, Tan Ky district will continue to invite investment and apply high technology to the production and processing of construction materials, aiming to increase the value of construction materials in the area, such as high-tech bricks and tiles.
