Ms. Cao Thi Bich Hang (Mr. Hung's mother) said that her son had just graduated with a Master's degree from the University of Queensland (Australia) and returned to Vietnam more than 2 months ago.
On the evening of September 27, Hung was still at home, but when everyone woke up in the morning, they saw that this young man had left home. People were even more shocked when they read the suicide note that this young man left for his relatives.
In a three-page handwritten letter, the young man said he was suffering from severe depression. “Depression is a terrible thing. A feeling of helplessness and also terrible…
My dream is to prove that I am right, but the truth is that no one cares whether I am right or wrong. Not even me. So I always feel empty and lonely even though I may have more resources, knowledge and money… But those things only make me feel lonelier,” the young man wrote in his letter.
