The Prime Minister immediately pointed out urgent issues that need to be focused on such as drought, saltwater intrusion, hail; solving pressing social issues such as food safety, business problems, strengthening administrative reform, budget collection difficulties, promoting economic development due to severe natural disasters, etc.

He also quickly assigned work to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers.

This includes implementing policies for sustainable development, stabilizing the macro economy, ensuring growth targets for industry and trade. Focusing on solutions to overcome difficulties to improve competitiveness for enterprises and the economy, prioritizing the implementation of integration commitments, perfecting market economic institutions, etc.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien proposed many specific actions in all three areas of culture, sports and tourism. In particular, in the field of sports, he set the goal that Vietnam strives to be one of the three countries with the highest achievements at the Sea Games, gradually approaching the achievements of Asia and the world in some Olympic and ASIAD events in which Vietnam has strengths.

In the tourism sector, he determined to strive for tourism to become a spearhead economic sector by 2020, achieving an average growth rate of 11-12% and reaching 12-13 million international visitors and 48-50 million domestic visitors by 2020...
