Strengthening measures to ensure food safety and hygiene
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in some localities petitioned the Provincial People's Committee to direct all levels, sectors and localities to strengthen measures to ensure food safety and hygiene.
Regarding this issue, the Provincial People's Committee responded as follows:
- Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Health to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to implement the following tasks:
+ Strengthen the work of ensuring food safety according to the assignment, decentralization and area of responsibility. In particular, assign the heads of sectors, units and localities to take responsibility for ensuring food safety within the scope of responsibility.

+ Issue documents directing and guiding the implementation of: Decision on strengthening the Provincial Interdisciplinary Food Safety Steering Committee; Plan to ensure food safety during the Lunar New Year, Food Safety Action Month; Action plan for peak years on food hygiene and safety in the agricultural sector; Decision on establishing Interdisciplinary Food Safety Inspection and Examination Teams...
+ Organize a meeting of the Provincial Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety. After the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Notice of Conclusion by the Vice Chairman, Head of the Provincial Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety. Accordingly, all levels and sectors need to strengthen measures to ensure food safety and hygiene, in particular, the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns need to enhance their spirit, responsibility and direct the drastic implementation of activities to ensure food safety in their areas of responsibility.

+ Organized a conference to deploy the 2016 Food Safety Action Month, through which the conference directed districts, cities and towns to deploy solutions to ensure food safety and hygiene in the area right from the production and processing stages.
