Strengthening propaganda forms to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation

Attending the event were representatives of departments, agencies and branches: Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Health, Fatherland Front Committee and provincial mass organizations, Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station.

However, with the increasingly complicated and unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country, especially the dangerous nature of the new strain that is spreading strongly, the pressure on epidemic prevention and control in the whole province is increasing due to the overload of quarantine areas, some people from epidemic areas returning to the area do not comply with regulations on medical declaration and quarantine...

To enhance the effectiveness of propaganda work on Covid-19 prevention and control at the present time, especially building propaganda scenarios in higher situations, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested units and localities to coordinate in propagating and concretizing Directive No. 07-CT/TU, dated August 7, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction on Covid-19 prevention and control in the new situation. In particular, regular and continuous propaganda must overcome the negligent and subjective mindset of a number of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

Maximize the role and responsibility of self-management teams, community Covid teams, tracing teams, and inter-family teams in mastering residential areas, making each family an anti-epidemic fortress, closely monitoring and controlling, not allowing anyone returning from epidemic areas to be left behind without making a medical declaration as prescribed.

Replicate good models and methods of epidemic prevention and control at the grassroots level, such as: signing a commitment to compete with each family not to violate epidemic prevention and control in residential areas; incorporate the content of epidemic prevention and control into monthly activities of Party cells and mass organizations; diversify types and means of propaganda close to the reality of each locality, especially in remote areas... Each citizen is truly a soldier in epidemic prevention and control, spreading the spirit of mutual love and affection, encouraging frontline forces in epidemic prevention and control...

Party committees and authorities at all levels need to proactively develop a scenario for propaganda on Covid-19 prevention and control at a higher level, closely following the development of a response situation for the disease spreading at a dangerous level to promptly and proactively orient ideological work and public opinion with the highest goal of protecting people's health and lives and ensuring social security in all situations.

In addition, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong directed the specialized department of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to promptly advise on the issuance of a propaganda plan to implement Directive No. 07-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation associated with the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the province. Mobilizing media and propaganda forces to strongly participate in contributing to creating the strength of solidarity and consensus of the whole society to soon achieve the highest goal of preventing and repelling the epidemic, ensuring social security, health and life of the people.
