Strengthening coordination between the Tax and Natural Resources and Environment sectors

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of October 13, Nghe An Tax Department and Department of Natural Resources and Environment held a preliminary review of the coordination regulations in performing tasks between the two sides. Attending were leaders of the two agencies and representatives of departments and branches of the two departments.

Over the past two years since the implementation of the coordination regulations, the two sides have coordinated in the collection of land, taxes, fees, and granting of mineral exploitation rights.

The two sides have closely coordinated in providing information and data on determining the collection and payment of land use fees, land taxes, licensing, mineral exploitation activities, transfer of mineral exploitation rights and the performance of financial obligations of organizations and individuals licensed to operate mineral exploitation and transfer of mineral exploitation in the area.

Thanks to enhanced coordination, tax management in the natural resources sector has improved. In 2015, the province paid more than 1,000 billion VND in land use fees, and in the first 8 months of 2016, the amount of land use fees reached nearly 1,000 billion VND. The amount of money for granting mineral exploitation rights in 2015 reached 62 billion VND, and in the first 8 months of the year reached more than 60 billion VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Tax Department, highly appreciated the coordination between the two sides, especially with the support of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the state management of natural resource tax was more strictly managed, and the consulting, inspection and examination work was timely.

However, according to representatives of both sides, given its importance, in the coming time, coordination between the two sides needs to be strengthened and deepened.

At the meeting, the two sides continued to discuss the coordination regulations in the coming time to better manage state management of resource tax management.
