Strengthening exchange and learning between Nghe An and Cao Bang

(Baonghean.vn) - The Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that the cooperation between Nghe An and Cao Bang would not only stop at today's conference, but in the coming time, the two provinces would pay attention to creating conditions for sectors and affiliated districts to have the opportunity to exchange and learn.

On the afternoon of August 2, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to exchange work experiences.

On the side of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee delegation, there were comrades: Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Trieu Dinh Le - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Dam Van Eng - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Xuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments and branches.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and boards.

At the conference, delegates listened to representatives of Nghe An province's leaders present reports on planning management, attracting investment resources for tourism development, services and high-tech agricultural projects; administrative reform and improvement of the investment and business environment; and mobilizing investment capital to participate in the province's socio-economic development.

In addition, there are some experiences in Party building and political system; the arrangement and merger of administrative units at district and commune levels, and the merger of hamlets and residential groups.

At the conference, delegates from Cao Bang province raised many questions about issues of concern, focusing on the arrangement of the political apparatus, the merger of administrative units at district and commune levels, and the merger of villages and hamlets. In Cao Bang, the merger of 199 communes and wards to 52 communes has been carried out, however, the province is facing many difficulties in resolving redundant cadres, as well as policies and job arrangements after the merger.

Regarding the task of economic development, Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee shared that in the 2015-2020 term, Cao Bang strives for a growth rate of 7%; annual budget revenue of over 1,000 billion. Cao Bang wants to learn from Nghe An's experience in attracting strategic investors to the province, especially specific policies and support mechanisms to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector.

The issues raised by the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee delegation were directly and specifically answered by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy and representatives of departments and branches.

In particular, with many common similarities such as having large mountainous areas and many revolutionary historical relics, the two sides exchanged good experiences in exploiting resources, the strengths of forests in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction; ensuring security and order in mountainous districts and border areas; preserving and promoting historical relics.

On behalf of the delegation, Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Lai Xuan Mon expressed his impression of Nghe An's growth rate, administrative reform, and attraction of large investment resources to the province. Comrade Lai Xuan Mon highly appreciated the contents shared by Nghe An provincial leaders, affirming that this is a valuable document for Cao Bang province to learn from experience in performing tasks, removing bottlenecks, and creating breakthroughs in socio-economic development in the locality.
