Donated nearly 2000 books to students and soldiers of Ky Son district

(Baonghean.vn) - Towards Vietnam Book Day April 21, the delegation of the Department of Information and Communications organized a donation of nearly 2,000 books to students and border guards in Ky Son district.

The delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, together with leaders of Nghe An Provincial Library, Nghe An Publishing House, Mobifone Branch in Nghe An, and leaders of Ky Son District People's Committee presented more than 1,600 books of all kinds to Muong Long Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities and Muong Long 1 Primary School, Ky Son District.

Types of books donated: Books popularizing scientific knowledge, historical comics, educational psychology, social practice skills, literary stories, foreign language books, computer science, textbooks and school references.

Also on this occasion, the delegation organized to present more than 300 books of various types to officers and soldiers of Nam Can Border Post, Ky Son District. The books given to Nam Can Border Post include: Books on science and technology, popularizing knowledge in the fields of agriculture, cultural celebrities, laws and many books serving to improve the reading culture for officers and soldiers of the border post and ethnic people in remote, isolated and border areas.

At the book donation points, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications emphasized that the donation of books to students, officers and soldiers aims to develop a reading culture, to inspire the intelligence of each person in the process of self-development and to form the personality of students, to improve the qualifications of officers, soldiers and people in the district.
