Safe injection training to avoid exposure

(Baonghean.vn) - At the training program, trainees were provided with information about safe injections and exposure prevention skills for those who receive injections.

During 4 days from April 20 to 23, 2017, the Military Medical Department - Ministry of National Defense, Military Hospital 4, organized the opening of a training course on training lecturers on safe injection for Hospitals and Military Medical units in the North.

In fact, in recent years, many health workers have not been updated on information about safe injection and medical solid waste management. Therefore, training courses on this issue are very necessary for the current nursing team.

At the training program, trainees are provided with information about safe injections (TAT), which are injections that do not cause harm to the person receiving the injection, do not expose the person administering the injection, and do not leave hazardous waste for the community.

Trainees will be trained in the following contents: Solutions to enhance safe injection practices; principles in safe injection practices; measures to prevent occupational exposure and treatment; overview of medical solid waste; classification of medical solid waste; collection, transportation and storage of medical solid waste; treatment and disposal of medical solid waste.

After the training course, trainees will improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudes in practicing TAT and managing medical solid waste; apply TAT knowledge to practice in caring for and treating patients and managing medical solid waste at the hospital.
