Concluding the working session, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong highly appreciated the draft political report of the Party Committee of the Army and emphasized that the Party Committee of the Army plays a particularly important role. It is a staff agency, a core force, a shock force, and a solid support for the Party, State and people.

This is the largest party organization, with the glorious tradition of Uncle Ho's Army, so it requires the Army Party Organization to be aware of the pride, confidence and self-respect with the special attention of the Party and State for the army.

General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that the Party Committee of the Army is the largest Party Committee with a glorious tradition, built over many years. This is an advantage and a requirement that must be maintained in the future.

Over the years, the Army has always built solidarity with the people, gained the trust of the people, and in defense diplomacy, force building has also received attention and achieved very positive results.

Pointing out the shortcomings and limitations, the General Secretary and President emphasized that in recent times, many legal violations have occurred, especially in land management in the military, and military finances need to be strictly handled...

The General Secretary and President suggested that it is necessary to study and rearrange the organizational apparatus and coordinate well with other forces, especially the police force, in building strategies to firmly protect the Fatherland and ensure political security and social order.

Emphasizing the rapid, complex and unpredictable developments in the world and region, with both opportunities, advantages and difficulties, and challenges intertwined, directly affecting the military, national defense and Fatherland protection tasks, the General Secretary and President suggested the need for accurate forecasts, absolutely not to be passive or surprised, and to build a strong force: “Absolutely not to be passive or surprised on all fronts, forecasting situations to proactively have plans from building forces, arranging the battle formation, coordinating with foreign affairs, this is a very big strategic issue, because the upcoming situation, besides favorable opportunities, will also develop complicatedly and unpredictably. Absolutely not to be complacent. Recently, we have achieved great achievements, but we must not be complacent, subjective, a little mistake can lead us astray, this is very important and we need to be constantly vigilant, especially paying attention to building a strong military force”.

The General Secretary and President also said that we must always pay attention to the issue of military-civilian solidarity and internal solidarity, and absolutely must have a unified bloc with the Army as the core, and the Army Party Committee must be an exemplary Party Committee, setting an example, not allowing negativity and regrettable phenomena like in the past. Wherever there are the most difficulties and hardships, the Army must be present, and at the same time, we must continue to fight and refute more strongly wrong views, fight against negativity within the Party, and strictly handle violations.

“We cannot allow wrong views in the Army, we cannot allow corruption and negativity in the Army. If we have done well, we must do better. If we have set an example, we must set an even better example. We are not satisfied. We are not satisfied. This is a great determination. The whole country has done it. More than 1,000 party members and cadres have been disciplined. We have done it without any forbidden areas. I emphasize this very strongly: internally, we must be united and exemplary, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers,” said General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

Welcoming the serious preparation of documents and personnel, the General Secretary and President noted that the Central Military Commission Standing Committee needs to seriously absorb the opinions at the working session, continue to perfect the draft documents, prepare well for personnel work, and successfully organize the 11th Army Congress.
