Train crashes into car at level crossing in Nghe An, driver escapes death
(Baonghean.vn) - While traveling on the North-South railway, passing through Dien Chau district in the early morning of July 10, a passenger train crashed into a sand truck that suddenly stalled at a level crossing with the railway.
The accident occurred at 5:03 a.m. on July 10, on the North-South railway line, at the intersection with National Highway 7A (the road barrier point of Dien Chau railway), at km 293+395, passing through Dien Phuc commune, Dien Chau district.

At the above time, the sand truck with license plate 37C 273.94, driven by Mr. Tran Van Dung, born in 1989, permanent resident of Hamlet 7, Dien Thang Commune, Dien Chau District, was traveling on National Highway 7A in the direction of Do Luong - Dien Chau. When reaching the intersection with the railway, the vehicle suddenly died.
At this time, the passenger train number NA, D19E-902 traveling from Hanoi to Vinh approached and hit the front of the car. The strong impact caused the front of the truck to be severely damaged, spinning along the rails. Fortunately, the truck driver jumped out of the car in time when the train hit.

Immediately after the accident, the authorities of Dien Chau district and the railway were present in time to handle and clear the traffic jam. At around 6 o'clock, train NA, D19E-902 continued its journey, and the railway and National Highway 7A traffic returned to normal.
