According to police investigation, at around 0:00 on August 1, Duân broke into the house of Ms. Luong Thi Tu (45 years old, living in the same commune), used a knife to stab her repeatedly in the neck and nape, and struggled to steal a mobile phone worth about 4 million VND.
Suddenly attacked, Ms. Tu fought back and called for help. Hearing her cries, many neighbors aroundrun to join forces. Duan quickly ran away.
A few hours later, Duân was arrested by Ky Anh town police while trying to leave the area.
