Visiting families affected by tornado in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, leaders of Thanh Chuong district and the district Red Cross visited and encouraged families affected by tornadoes in the area.

The heavy, prolonged rain, accompanied by a tornado on the afternoon of May 21, caused damage to many families in Thanh Chuong. Some houses had their roofs blown off, and many areas of rice and crops were destroyed.
The family of Ms. Dang Thi Sen in Hamlet 15, Thanh Ha Commune, had the roof of their 3-room house completely blown away by the wind. Many of the furniture in the house was damaged. Fortunately, when the wind was strong, the whole family was taking shelter in the kitchen, where the roofing sheets were broken, but no one was injured.

After the tornado, Ms. Sen's family was left homeless. It is known that Ms. Sen is a single parent, poor, and is raising two children, the older child is in 9th grade, the younger child is in 6th grade at Thanh Ha Secondary School.
Upon receiving the information, the district leaders and the Thanh Chuong District Red Cross visited, gave gifts, and encouraged the family. Here, the Youth Union and local organizations are also joining hands to help Ms. Sen and her three children clean up, repair, and overcome the consequences of the tornado.
