July gratitude at Vietnam - Laos international martyrs cemetery

(Baonghean.vn) - In July, when visiting the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery (Anh Son District), I was filled with emotions of gratitude. Please light some incense sticks to express my sincere respect and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for their homeland, country and noble international mission.

The Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery is located in the center of Anh Son town with an area of nearly 7 hectares, and is the resting place of more than 11,000 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos. Photo: Huy Thu

Mr. Phan Duy Truong (49 years old), residing in Duc Hoa commune, Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh), said: Today, he, his wife and daughter went to the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery to burn incense for martyr Pham Dinh Lieu, a tank driver who died in 1972. "Every year on July 27, my family goes to the cemetery to visit my uncle's grave" - Mr. Truong said. Photo: Huy Thu
