Faced with the tragic situation of Mr. Phan Ba Hung's family (Thang's father), the youth union members of Thanh Van commune decided to borrow a pump and a car wash to raise funds. Ho Sy Son, a member of the youth union branch 5, used his own money to buy pigs and ducks to roast and sell at the village's soccer field, and the profits were used to support Mr. Hung's family.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan - Secretary of the Youth Union of Thanh Van commune, Thanh Chuong said that people are very supportive of fundraising activities that demonstrate the compassion of the Youth Union organization, so the Youth Union members have more motivation to carry out, contributing to multiplying love between people in community life, creating solidarity in the village; affirming the pioneering and volunteering role of the youth.

The Standing Committee of Thanh Chuong District Youth Union has also coordinated with the Thanh Chuong District Volunteer Club to launch a call for organizations and individuals to join hands to help the victim's family. Currently, the leaders of the People's Committee and the District Red Cross have also organized visits to encourage Mr. Phan Ba Hung's family.

Previously, it was known that when he received the news that his son Phan Ba Thang had died, Mr. Phan Ba Hung suffered a mental breakdown, his blood pressure increased and he had to rely on the care of relatives and doctors. Thang's mother was often sick and lying unconscious in bed. His younger brother, Phan Ba Thin (born in 2000), was preparing for his high school graduation exam but was also busy with the procedures to bring his body back to his hometown for burial.

Mr. Hung's family is a farmer, and their circumstances are extremely difficult. At the end of 2016, to make a living and help his family through the difficult days, Mr. Hung's family borrowed about 80 million VND to send Thang to work abroad. Before he could pay off the bank loan, Thang had an accident.

Meanwhile, the cost of going to Taiwan to bring Thang's body back to his hometown is a large sum of money for Mr. Hung's extended family, so the family is in dire need of help from the community.
