Vinh City handles over 3,000 cases of urban order violations

In 2021, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vinh city still carried out the work of launching campaigns, clearing traffic safety corridors, ensuring urban order and environmental sanitation synchronously and consistently.

Accordingly, the forceVinh City Policeorganized 2 peak campaigns to clear the area, focusing on handling violations of urban order, focusing on acts such as: stopping and parking vehicles on the roadway and sidewalks against regulations; occupying the roadway and sidewalks for markets, food and beverage services; displaying and selling goods, repairing vehicles, machinery, equipment, washing cars, and discharging construction wastewater onto the streets.

Vinh City Police mobilized 4,139 officers and soldiers to focus on clearing the main roads, complicated urban order gathering places, and markets in areas with complicated urban order. Especially Vinh market, Quan Banh market, Ben Thuy market, Nghi Phu market... Urban order was established on 37 main streets, handed over to ward and commune authorities for continued management.

The forces have recorded and processed 1,735 cases with a total amount paid to the State budget of 723 million VND.

In addition to the Vinh City Police force, the forcewards and communesalso deployed nearly 6,000 officers to handle hot spots of urban order and environmental sanitation. As a result, localities have recorded 824 cases, the amount of money collected into the budget is 625 million VND. In addition, many violating vehicles such as tables, chairs, carts, canopies, billboards, etc. have been temporarily detained.

The city's Urban Order Management Team also handled 294 cases, with a total fine of 179 million VND paid to the State budget. The Vinh City Rapid Response Team recorded 155 cases, collecting 87.8 million VND for the State Treasury.

Although many positive signals have been recorded, the handling of violations of urban order in Vinh City still has many shortcomings such as: Management and prevention of re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors of some wards and communes have not been maintained regularly, the situation of re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors and sidewalks on roads still occurs; especially on main streets and areas around markets, hospitals and schools in the area. The situation of dumping household waste and construction waste indiscriminately, at the wrong time and in the wrong place still occurs frequently...
