During the past term, the economy continued to grow and shift in the right direction. The average growth rate in the 2015-2020 period reached 9.65%; per capita income in 2019 reached 43.8 million VND/year. Total food output in 2020 is estimated to reach 1,700 tons.

More prominent in the implementation of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term is the mobilization of resources to build infrastructure and welfare works, with a total investment capital of 19.32 billion VND; contributing to changing the face of the homeland.

In 2019, the rate of cultural families reached 79.8%, and is expected to reach 85% by the end of 2020. The movement to build cultural villages and units is focused on, striving to have 2 villages recognized as cultural villages by the end of 2020. Poverty reduction work, policies to support the poor, and ensuring social security are effectively directed; the poverty rate in 2020 is expected to be 2.2%.

In the 2020-2025 term, Thanh Thuy commune has set the goal of becoming an economic and commercial development center by 2023, creating the foundation to basically become a strongly developed commune in the district by 2025; with specific targets: Average economic growth rate in the 2020-2025 period is from 11 - 11.5%; Average income per capita by 2025 is 75.9 million VND/year; Total stable annual food output is 1,728 tons; Total investment capital in the area for the 2021-2025 period is 45 billion VND; The poverty rate by 2025 is reduced to below 2%; Building a school that meets national standards at level 2; The rate of families meeting cultural standards is 85 - 87%; The rate of hamlets achieving cultural units is 75%; The commune meets the National Health Standards Phase 2; Every year, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and mass organizations at the commune level achieve the title of "Excellent Task Completion" or higher...

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Van Que - Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee emphasized that in the coming time, Thanh Thuy Commune Party Committee needs to continue to pay attention to and build a strong political system, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of State management; Continue to perform well the administrative reform work, improve public ethics, spirit of serving the people; Perform well the work of grassroots democracy.

The commune Party Committee needs to identify economic development as a key task, accelerate economic restructuring. Continue to maintain and improve quality, rapidly increase NTM criteria to strive to reach the NTM target by 2024.
