(Baonghean.vn) - Some cases of law violations and long-standing complaints that have not been completely resolved need to be accelerated for resolution. This is one of the issues that many delegates are interested in discussing and giving opinions on at the April 2020 Internal Affairs Bloc Conference.

On the morning of April 27, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the April 2020 Internal Affairs Bloc meeting. In April, the political security situation and social order and safety were basically stable. Sectors in the organization and implementation of tasks according to the plan related to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. The authorities have proactively grasped the situation, advised the Party committees and authorities to resolve cases right at the grassroots level, especially cases related to religious affairs, complaints and the epidemic situation...

However, there are still some cases and social evils such as drug trafficking, gambling, corruption in positions... Specifically, in April, 114 cases were discovered and arrested, 183 subjects were arrested, 1.5 kg of heroin, 5.1 kg of crystal meth and nearly 8.1 kg of synthetic drugs were seized. Tuong Duong district police arrested and temporarily detained 3 suspects for human trafficking, and rescued 1 victim. 30 cases were arrested, 197 subjects were arrested for gambling, and 900 million VND was seized.

During the month, in Tan Ky district, a contract officer of the district post office abused his position and power to appropriate property of a number of people in Tan An commune with a total amount of more than 859 million VND. Currently, the Tan Ky district police investigation agency has initiated a case and prosecuted the suspect for handling according to the provisions of law.

Regarding inspection work, in April, 37 socio-economic inspections were conducted at 76 units. Through inspection, 13/17 units were found to have violated the law with a total amount of more than 1.2 billion VND; proposed to recover 636 million VND, recommended another 600 million VND, 567 million VND was recovered. Specialized inspection discovered 114 organizations and 160 individuals with violations, proposed to handle violations of more than 1 billion VND. Also in April, the whole province discovered 18 violations of illegal deforestation, causing damage to 5.19 hectares and a number of other violations, recovered 33.76m3wood of all kinds, fined more than 439 million dong.

Regarding some cases that have received public attention recently, such as the violation at Nghi Van Secondary School (Nghi Loc), the Procuracy is requesting relevant agencies to discipline officials, ensuring strictness and compliance with regulations; the case of deforestation in Nam Can commune (Ky Son) involving Pham Viet Tinh, after a protest, after a period of temporary suspension, has now been brought to trial.

The case of the execution of judgment in Quynh Luu involving Mr. Hien and Ms. Huong is currently stuck with the issue of instructing Mr. Hien and Ms. Huong to file a lawsuit in court to resolve it completely. The case related to labor export in Que Phong, the subject has confessed to the crime, the authorities have basically completed the investigation, and will handle it according to the provisions of the law in April and early May 2020.

In addition, regarding violations in the construction of Truong Son residential area in Cua Nam ward, the case related to Minh Khang project, and the violation at Linh Sam pagoda, the Internal Affairs Committee also reported and requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the final handling.

Determining the tasks for May, the conference noted that relevant sectors should focus on advising the Provincial Party Standing Committee to direct Party congresses at all levels to ensure requirements and regulations. Continue to implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic; ensure safety for political and social events in the province. Focus on handling complicated issues arising from the grassroots. Strengthen crime prevention and control, launch high-profile campaigns to crack down on all types of crimes, especially murder, intentional injury, robbery, snatching, human trafficking, and illegal credit; eradicate drug trafficking rings.
