According to the source, the administrative reform was very significant in reducing from 35 focal points to only 28 focal points. In which, the General Department of Energy was divided into one department and two departments; the Department of Mountainous Trade Market merged into the Department of Domestic Market; the Department of Chemicals, the Department of Light Industry, the Department of Heavy Industry merged into the Department of Industry; the Department of Finance was dissolved, part of it was transferred to the Department of Planning, part to the Department of Enterprise Innovation and Development;

In addition, the Department of Human Resources Development (formerly separated from the Department of Personnel Organization) is now merged into the Department of Personnel Organization; the Department of Emulation and Reward and the Southern Affairs Department (formerly the Representative Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City) are merged into the Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;

Departments KV1, KV2, KV3, KV4 are merged into 2 Departments of Europe, America and Asia and Africa; Department of International Cooperation is merged into 2 Departments of Asia, Africa and Europe and America; Two research institutes (Trade and Industrial Policy) are merged into one institute.

At the same time, the Ministry will also establish a Trade Defense Department to suit the integration trend. Upgrade the establishment of the General Department of Market Management from the remaining Market Management Department.

"Everyone can participate in giving opinions and criticism, but the explanation must be correct and if the criticism is reasonable, it will be brought up for discussion before the Executive Committee for the final time. Otherwise, it will be submitted to the ministries, branches and the Government for approval," the source said.
