The 6:00 a.m. news on April 29 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that as of this morning, there were no new cases of Covid-19, however, there was 1 more case of re-infection after recovery.

Total number of cases:

- From 6:00 a.m. April 16 to 6:00 a.m. April 29: 13 days Vietnam has had no cases of community transmission.

- As of 6am on April 29: Vietnam has a total of 130 imported cases that were immediately quarantined.

- From 6:00 p.m. April 28 to 6:00 a.m. April 29: 0 new cases.

Number of people in quarantine:Total number of people in close contact and entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 42,057, of which:

- Concentrated quarantine at hospital: 323.

- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 6,643.

- Quarantine at home or place of residence: 35,091.

Treatment status:According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee - National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control:

Patient 151 tested positive again for SARS-CoV-2:The patient is the wife of patient 207. The patient has also been declared cured and discharged from the hospital with her husband. They will continue to be isolated and monitored at home for another 14 days as prescribed by the Ministry of Health.

However, on April 27, after her husband, Patient 207, tested positive again, Patient 151 was also admitted to the quarantine hospital. Also on April 27, she was tested and the result was negative. On April 28, she was tested again and the result was positive again. The patient is currently being monitored and treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.

Thus, up to this point, there are 3 patients who tested positive again after recovering from the disease and are being isolated, treated, and monitored at Cu Chi Field Hospital: Patient 207, Patient 224, and Patient 151.

Among 49 Covid-19 patients being treated at 9 medical facilities, currently the number of cases with one negative test result for SARS-CoV-2: 11 cases; The number of cases with two or more negative test results for SARS-CoV-2: 8 cases.
