One more Covid-19 case related to patient 257, Vietnam has 258 cases
According to the 6:00 p.m. news bulletin on April 11 from the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, only 1 new case of COVID-19 was recorded during the day. This patient is the mother of patient 257. Up to this point, Vietnam has 258 cases.
1. Total number of cases: 258 cases, including:
- 159 people from abroad, accounting for 61.6%;
- 99 people with secondary infections.
2. Number of new cases as of 6:00 p.m. on April 11: 01 case (258)
-CASE 258 (BN258):Female patient, 47 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Hoi hamlet, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. The patient is the mother of patient 257 who is being quarantined at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
The patient was tested and found positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus on April 11.
3. Number of people in quarantine:
Total number of close contacts and people entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 72,508, of which:
- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 1,198;
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 17,519;
- Isolated at home or place of residence: 53,791.
4. Treatment situation:
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
- Number of cases with negative SARS-CoV-2 test results once: 13 cases.
- Number of cases with 2 negative test results for SARS-CoV-2: 12 cases.
Information from the Steering Committee: At 0:00 on April 12, Bach Mai Hospital will be lifted from lockdown.
On the afternoon of April 11, Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee Vo Nguyen Phong signed and issued Decision No. 1052/QD-UBND on ending the medical quarantine area for Bach Mai Hospital (Phuong Mai Ward, Dong Da District). This quarantine termination takes effect from 0:00 on April 12.
According to the above decision, Bach Mai Hospital has been quarantined for 14 days, meeting all requirements as prescribed by the Ministry of Health. At the same time, based on the actual situation, Dong Da district decided to end the quarantine of Bach Mai Hospital so that the hospital can continue to perform normal medical examination and treatment.
Bach Mai Hospital is responsible for continuing to implement measures to monitor and prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic in accordance with the temporary guidance of the Ministry of Health in Decision No. 963/QD-BYT dated March 18, 2020 and Directive 06/CT-BYT dated March 28, 2020, on strengthening measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic in medical facilities.
