These pharmacies were handled due to their connection to the cluster of Covid-19 cases in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town and Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district announced by authorities on September 30.

Specifically, according to the conclusion of the Health Department Inspectorate, these pharmacies sold cough, fever, flu medicine, etc. without requiring buyers to make medical declarations, measure body temperature, exploit epidemiological information of people needing medicine; did not provide information about users, buyers of cough, fever, flu medicine, etc. to the Health Centers of districts, cities, and towns to promptly detect, screen, trace, isolate, and take samples for testing of suspected cases of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.

Previously, on September 28, the Department of Health also issued Decisions to revoke the operating licenses and administratively sanction 3 pharmaceutical business establishments in Vinh city for similar violations.
