3 new Covid-19 cases, including 2 in Quang Nam and 1 imported case
As of 6:00 a.m. on August 13, Vietnam had a total of 883 Covid-19 cases, of which 421 new cases related to Da Nang since July 25.
On the morning of August 13, the Ministry of Health announced 3 new cases of Covid-19, including 2 cases recorded in Quang Nam and 1 case in Bac Lieu who were quarantined immediately after entering the country. Specifically:
- CASE 881 (BN881): Female, 40 years old, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi. On August 9, 2020, the patient returned from Saudi Arabia to Can Tho airport on flight VN5002 and was quarantined in Bac Lieu province immediately after entering the country. Samples were taken on August 11, 2020, and the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently quarantined and treated at Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital.
- CASE 882 (BN882): Male, 51 years old; permanent residence in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City; temporary residence in Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam. On July 28, 2020, he left Ho Chi Minh City to take care of his mother, BN524, at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital. On July 29, 2020, he had direct contact with BN626. He was then taken to the centralized quarantine area of My Son Hotel. The test result on August 12, 2020 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. He is currently isolated and treated at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
- CASE 883 (BN883): Female, 83 years old; Hoi An, Quang Nam. Mother of BN858. From July 9-23, 2020, hospitalized at Da Nang Hospital. From noon on July 23, 2020, returned home in Hoi An. Test result on August 12, 2020 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently isolated and treated at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

Total number of close contacts and people entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 133,340, of which:
- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 5,361
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 25,043
- Isolation at home, place of residence: 102,936
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee, National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control:
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time: 35 cases.
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 twice or more: 51 cases.
- Number of deaths: 17 cases.
- Number of cured cases: 409 cases./.
