4 new COVID-19 cases, 2 people in close contact with patient 243, Vietnam has 255 cases
According to the 6:00 p.m. bulletin on April 9 of the National Steering Committee, 4 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, including 2 people in close contact with patient 243, bringing the total number of cases in our country to 255.
Total number of cases: 255 cases, including:
- 158 people from abroad, accounting for 62.2%;
- 97 people with secondary infections.
Number of new cases as of 6:00 p.m. on April 9: 04 cases (252-255)
CASE 252 (BN252):Male patient, 6 years old, Vietnamese nationality, address in Ward 12, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
The patient lives in Cambodia with a family of 5, of which 2 have been confirmed to have COVID-19 and are being quarantined and treated in Cambodia.
On April 8, the patient and the other two family members returned to Vietnam through Moc Bai border gate, Tay Ninh. Immediately after entering the country, the patient was transferred to Tay Ninh General Hospital by a specialized vehicle from the Tay Ninh International Health Quarantine Center.
On the same day, the patient's sample was sent to the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City for testing and the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Two people who accompanied the patient tested negative. Currently, the patient is being monitored, treated, and isolated at Tay Ninh General Hospital.
CASE 253 (BN253):Female patient, 41 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Me Linh, Hanoi, is the sister-in-law, lives nearby and had close contact with patient 243.
On April 6, samples were taken, and test results on April 9 confirmed that the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
The patient is currently being isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.

CASE 255 (BN255):The patient is a 29-year-old Vietnamese male residing in Bac Quang, Ha Giang. On March 27, the patient returned to Noi Bai International Airport from Russia on flight SU290.
After entering the country, the patient was quarantined in Vinh Phuc. On April 8, the patient's sample was taken, and the test result on April 9 confirmed that the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
The patient is currently isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
