Ho Chi Minh City police, in coordination with the People's Procuracy and other authorities, are blocking off the scene, not allowing anyone to stand near it. The victim was identified as being from Bac Lieu and was murdered just a few hours ago. The woman registered her temporary residence in the area, rented a space to open a coffee shop about 2 weeks ago, and has a business license.
Living near the scene, Ms. Lan, 41 years old, said that the owner of the shop lives alone, with two female employees who help sell until 9 pm. Normally, she watches movies until 2-3 am. "Around 3 am today, I heard a man and a woman arguing, some noise, but I didn't think there was a murder," she said.
Police are extracting security cameras from several homes around the scene.
