This morning, October 8, the 11th Korean Language Test for workers going to work in Korea began at 4 testing locations: Hanoi University of Industry and University of Labor and Social Affairs (Hanoi), Vinh University of Technical Education (Nghe An), and Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Technical Vocational College.
Despite prior warnings, some candidates still deliberately brought cell phones and were detected by security forces as soon as they passed through the gate for inspection.

In the first exam session, at most exam locations, there were cases of candidates still carrying phones and personal identification documents that did not comply with regulations... but compared to the exam held 5 years ago, this exam had fewer candidates violating regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Tung, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said that on the first morning, some candidates were still carrying mobile phones wrapped in foil, rubber... but were discovered right after passing through the gate. Even at the exam site of the University of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (Hanoi), a candidate was discovered carrying 3 mobile phones, outside the school gate, some people even threw phones into the exam room for candidates but the phones fell and broke.

“Although there were still some candidates who did not comply with the regulations, compared to the previous exam, the compliance of candidates with the regulations in this exam was still better. The reason is that after 5 years of organizing, this exam was well prepared and widely publicized, so people were more aware when participating in the exam,” said Mr. Nguyen Tien Tung.
This morning, at the exam site of the University of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, about 10 candidates had problems with their identification documents. Their ID cards did not have a raised stamp, but the organizing committee had the candidates write a commitment letter, make copies of their ID cards, and still allowed the candidates to continue taking the exam.
“Because it is impossible to determine with the naked eye whether an identity document without a raised stamp on the photo is fake or not, we still allow candidates to take the exam. If it is true and we do not allow the exam, it will be a disadvantage for the candidates. Candidates with household registration books and driver's licenses can also be considered valid identity documents. However, if after the exam, fake identity documents are discovered, the candidate's exam results will be canceled,” said Mr. Nguyen Tien Tung.
In the 11th Korean Language Test, all the tasks of creating, distributing, and grading the test are done by the Korean side. No organization or individual can interfere with the test results.
Mr. Woo Bong-Wo, Director of the Human Resources Department (Ministry of Employment and Labor of Korea) said that the exam papers were printed in Korea and kept at the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. There are about 60 Korean officials and volunteers participating in this exam at all 4 testing locations nationwide. From more than 21,000 candidates, 2,100 candidates will be selected, then these candidates will have to go through a selection process by Korean employers before coming to this country to work.
The 11th Korean Language Test has more than 21,000 candidates registered and is divided into 4 sessions at 4 testing locations. Candidates will continue to participate in the Korean Language Test this afternoon, October 8 and tomorrow, October 9./.
