Today, 46,600 9th grade students in Nghe An province took part in the 10th grade entrance exam. While the high school graduation exam is considered the finish line after 12 years of studying, the 10th grade entrance exam is a highly competitive transitional step. Because out of nearly 46,600 9th grade students registered for the entrance exam, Nghe An Department of Education and Training only recruited 41,710 students into public, private, and cultural supplementary systems. In particular, the race to get into the list of 32,100 public system students is somewhat more intense.
