Lack of money to buy drugs, used knife to rob property

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 15, Quynh Luu District Police said that they had just arrested a subject who used a weapon to control a woman to rob her.

Accordingly, at around 2:30 p.m. on October 14, while weeding the field, Ms. Mai Thi Huong (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 11, Quynh Ngoc Commune, Quynh Luu District) was threatened with a knife to her neck by Hoang Van Hoa (born in 1992, residing in Hamlet 6, Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau) to rob her of her property.

While committing the act, the local people discovered him, shouted and informed the authorities. Hoa ran away but because he was not familiar with the terrain, he was arrested by the local people along with the district and commune police shortly after.

At the investigation agency, suspect Hoa confessed that at around 11:30 a.m. on October 14, while drinking alcohol in hamlet 6, Dien Ky commune, a friend named Hung called and invited him to buy crystal meth and suggested robbing property together to get money to spend and buy drugs.

The two suspects then went to several communes in Quynh Luu district to commit robbery but could not find their prey. After returning to the dike in hamlet 11 of Quynh Ngoc commune, they discovered Ms. Huong wearing a gold necklace.

While searching Ms. Huong, the victim shouted for help, so the suspect ran about 10 meters before being stopped and arrested by some people. Meanwhile, Hung escaped on a motorbike.

It is known that the subject Hoang Van Hoa, who was released from prison just 1 year ago, has 2 previous convictions for robbery and theft. Currently, the case is being further investigated by the police of Quynh Luu district.
