Bad weather, 2 fishing boats collided and sank
(Baonghean,vn) - On the afternoon of March 1, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with a team of divers and offshore fishing boats of Quynh Luu fishermen to tow the fishing boat of Mr. Nguyen Van Bac in Son Hai hamlet, Tien Thuy commune, which was in distress at sea, safely ashore.

At 1:00 p.m. on March 1, fishing boat NA 91588 TS of Mr. To Duy Kien, hamlet 3, Quynh Nghia commune was on its way to Lach Quen fishing port. When it was about 4 nautical miles from shore, it encountered dense fog and limited visibility, so it unfortunately collided with a fishing boat fishing close to shore with registration number NA 4007 TS of Mr. Nguyen Van Bac, hamlet Son Hai, Tien Thuy commune, causing the boat to sink along with 2 fishermen.

Immediately, the workers on Mr. Kien's ship jumped down to search and rescue the two crew members in distress, and at the same time called the authorities to come to the rescue.
Upon receiving the information, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station mobilized 5 soldiers to provide first aid to the injured crew members and mobilized 3 other fishing boats of Tien Thuy fishermen to coordinate in salvaging and towing the vehicle to shore.

Due to strong winds, big waves and fog, the rescue work encountered many difficulties. After more than 4 hours of struggling with the waves, Mr. Bac's fishing boat was safely towed to Lach Quen port and the health of the 2 fishermen on board is now stable./.
