Official information on the accident that killed 6 people in Ky Son
Nghe An Province Traffic Safety Committee has just released official information about the tragic accident that killed 6 people in Nam Can Commune, Ky Son District.
The report of the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An province stated that at about 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2025, at Km 21+800, Provincial Road 543D, in Tham Hin village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district (a border commune, bordering Laos, about 60 km from the district center), a serious traffic accident occurred.

At that time, a truck carrying dong leaves with license plate number: 37C-537.03 (1.5 ton vehicle) was traveling from Na Ngoi commune to Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, driven by Mr. Vu Van Hao, born in 1982, residing in Con Muong village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong district, when going downhill, he lost control and crashed into a house. The accident killed 6 people (5 people died on the spot, 1 person died while being treated at the hospital).

The report also stated that the driver's test showed no alcohol or drug levels, and the vehicle had been inspected 2 months ago.
Immediately after receiving information about the accident, the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Provincial People's Committee grasped the information and directed the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and branches, to coordinate with the Ky Son District People's Committee and local authorities to directly go to the scene, inspect and direct the handling of the consequences of the incident.

The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee also visited and supported each victim with 5 million VND. The People's Committee of Ky Son district also supported each victim with 15 million VND.
In addition, Nghe An Provincial Police also supported each victim with 2 million VND, Ky Son District Police supported each victim with 5 million VND.
