Seized thousands of pairs of 'Adidas 150,000 VND'
Selling Adidas shoes via Zalo at a "super cheap" price of only 150,000 VND with unknown origin, a facility had thousands of products seized.
On the morning of June 8, Market Management Team No. 1, under the Hanoi Market Management Department, coordinated with members of the E-commerce Task Force (Team 368) to conduct a surprise inspection of a shoe business on Tran Cung Street, Cau Giay, Hanoi, owned by Ms. Thanh Duyen.
During the inspection, the footwear, socks, and insoles at the facility were packaged in plastic bags or had unfinished paper boxes. The goods and paper boxes had Adidas and Nike logos on them. The inspection team sealed and temporarily detained 5,182 products with signs of counterfeit Adidas and Nike trademarks for further investigation.

Ms. Duyen admitted to buying various types of shoes and sandals made in Vietnam and abroad without invoices or documents proving their origin. She then sold them to individuals and business organizations, especially online via Zalo and on e-commerce platforms.
Specifically, some Adidas Stan Smith shoes, which are being sold officially in Vietnam for about 2.3 million VND, are being sold by Ms. Duyen for only 150,000 VND. This establishment sells shoes and sandals, using a Zalo account with Ms. Duyen's phone number and name, but does not have a business registration certificate.
The Hanoi Market Management Department stated that business activities on Zalo and multi-channel e-commerce are growing. However, some subjects have taken advantage of this to sell counterfeit goods bearing the trademarks of large European enterprises. This is something to be aware of as the EVFTA has just been approved by the National Assembly, with its commitments on intellectual property.
