Many weapons seized at land auction in Quynh Luu

During 2 days (July 21-22), the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district organized an auction of land use rights in Son Hai commune. The auction attracted 930 sets of documents with more than 2,000 participants, the largest scale ever in the district.

To ensure the safety of the land auction, Quynh Luu District Police mobilized 50 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Son Hai Commune Police Department to organize multiple rounds of security. During the auction, the police discovered and arrested 3 groups of people carrying weapons along the national highway, around the headquarters of the Son Hai Commune People's Committee.

The seized evidence included 20 machetes, 15 kitchen knives, 2 swords, and 8 iron pipes made into knives over 1 meter long. All of the above weapons were transported by the subjects in a car.

At the end of the auction, the leaders of Quynh Luu district highly appreciated the role of the police force in ensuring the success of the land auction in Son Hai commune. The district People's Committee awarded the Quynh Luu district police 5 million VND.

At the auction, 26/27 lots were successfully auctioned with a total value of over 54 billion VND. On average, each lot had a price 50% higher than the starting price. Of which, lot number 16 had the highest price of nearly 4.6 billion VND with an area of ​​200 m2.²; the lowest lot is paid for 1.5 billion VND.

In particular, lot number 23 had a starting price of only 800 million VND, but through auction, this lot was paid up to 3.3 billion VND, which is 400% higher than the original.
