The candidate with the highest score in the 10th grade entrance exam in Nghe An province in the 2020-2021 school year was Bui Thu Trang - Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School (Quynh Luu) with 47.3 points, ranked 2nd was Tran Thu Ha, a student of Dang Thai Mai Secondary School (Vinh City) with 47.1 points.

However, if including bonus points, the student with the highest score is Tran Thien Ngan - a student from Cao Xuan Huy Secondary School, taking the entrance exam to Nguyen Xuan On High School (Dien Chau) with a total admission score of 48.2 points.

In the list of 10 candidates with high scores, there are 3 candidates taking the exam to Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City).

According to the schedule of the Department of Education and Training, on August 7, the admission scores for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School will be approved and announced; on August 12, the admission scores for Provincial Ethnic Minority High School and Provincial Ethnic Minority High School No. 2 will be approved and announced; on August 14, the additional scores (if missing) for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and other provincial ethnic minority schools will be approved, and the English class at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and the English class at Huynh Thuc Khang High School with international English certificates will be approved.

From August 17, the Department will approve and announce the benchmark scores of Huynh Thuc Khang High School and schools that only recruit NV1 students; on August 21, approve and announce the benchmark scores of the remaining public high schools; and on August 26, approve and announce the benchmark scores of non-public schools.
