Secretary reveals President Putin's preferences for the new year

On the "Russia 1" TV channel, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin usually celebrates the New Year in different regions of the country.
"The first place I remember the president celebrated the New Year in Khabarovsk," spokesman Peskov said, adding that the Russian leader loves to celebrate the New Year with family and friends, if he has no work schedule.
According to Mr. Peskov, President Putin usually celebrates the New Year in a simple way.
"This is actually the president's time off, which he doesn't have often," the Kremlin spokesman said.
Earlier, speaking to members of the government, the State Council and Russian people's artists at the gala, President Putin confirmed that the 2020 New Year's Eve celebration, according to media, will be held at the Opera House.
The New Year's Eve celebration will be held in a wonderful atmosphere, with special musical performances. "Hopefully, the New Year will bring new successes. Everyone is working hard, ready to work for the common good, for a better life" - Russian President Putin said.
