U22 Vietnam goalkeeper continues to be the main goalkeeper in Singapore
One day after receiving the news of being called up to the Vietnam U22 team, goalkeeper Ho Tung Han continued to be trusted by Balestier Khalsa Club to be the main goalkeeper in the Singapore Premier League.
On the evening of March 7 (Hanoi time), Ho Tung Han started the match between Balestier Khalsa and Geylang in round 28 of the Singapore Premier League. The match took place at Jalan Besar Stadium, where the Vietnamese team defeated Singapore 2-0 in the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-finals at the end of last year.

Although Balestier Khalsa won 4-3, Tung Han personally had a difficult day of competition with having to pick the ball out of the net 3 times. The first two goals conceded came from tricky shots outside the penalty area in the 45+1 and 77th minutes. In the first goal, despite flying as far as he could, he still couldn't block it. Meanwhile, the second goal conceded came from a tricky shot that left Han helpless as the ball flew into the net.
However, the U22 Vietnam goalkeeper still had some impressive saves, especially the excellent reflex to block a long-range shot in the 73rd minute and reasonable moves to prevent high balls.
This is Ho Tung Han's second consecutive start in Singapore and also his first appearance in the Singapore Premier League. Previously, on March 2, the 2003-born goalkeeper had an impressive debut at the Singapore Cup 2025, becoming the first Vietnamese player to participate in this tournament.
Playing regularly helps Ho Tung Han gain more confidence before the March training session of U22 Vietnam. Furthermore, he also has the opportunity to compete for the starting position at the Singapore club for the remainder of the loan contract that lasts until May.
Ho Tung Han is 1.78m tall and was trained at Da Nang Club. Recently, he was named in the list of 27 U22 Vietnam players preparing for a training and friendly match in China in March.
Phong Phu Ha Nam is getting closer to the 2025 National U19 Women's Championship
The victory over Ho Chi Minh City gives Phong Phu Ha Nam a chance to win the National U19 Women's Football Championship - Acecook Cup 2025.
The highlight of the 9th round is the match between Phong Phu Ha Nam and Ho Chi Minh City. The team from the city named after Uncle Ho is only 1 point behind its opponent on the rankings, still having a chance to compete for the championship. Therefore, coach Luu Ngoc Mai asked his players to enter the field with high determination.
However, the importance of the match made both teams play cautiously. Phong Phu Ha Nam's defense remained solid, preventing Ho Chi Minh City's strikers from having many chances to score. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the second half, Phong Phu Ha Nam had the upper hand in the game but the goal came in an unexpected way. In the 80th minute, from a free kick from a distance of more than 30 meters, Nguyen Thi Linh Chi fired a beautiful shot to open the score for the red team.
With nothing left to lose, TP. HCM put all their squad on the attack. However, their best chance was missed by Thuy Linh with an unsuccessful free kick in the 90+3 minute. In the end, Phong Phu Ha Nam won 1-0, creating a big advantage in the championship race when they were 4 points ahead of TP. HCM and 3 points ahead of Thai Nguyen T&T.
In another match, Than KSVN faced difficulties against Thai Nguyen T&T. In the 8th minute, Nguyen Thu Trang took advantage of a mistake by Than KSVN's defense to open the score. A comfortable mentality helped Thai Nguyen T&T control the match well, maintaining a 1-0 advantage until the end of the first half.
In the second half, Thu Trang continued to score, securing a 2-0 victory for Thai Nguyen T&T.
Mainoo "threatens" Man Utd
Young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has reportedly turned down a new contract with Manchester United.
Having joined the Man Utd academy as a child, Mainoo has made remarkable progress under coach Erik ten Hag. He has two years left on his current contract, but talks over an extension have yet to come to an end. According to The Sun, Mainoo is considering leaving for a new challenge.
"Mainoo has expressed interest in playing in another league. However, Man Utd are still confident in keeping him and are willing to sell if they receive a reasonable offer, at least £70 million," the British newspaper revealed.

Currently, Mainoo is one of the lowest-paid players at MU (20,000 pounds/week), much lower than reserve players like Victor Lindelof (120,000 pounds/week) or Antony (200,000 pounds/week). This makes him unhappy and wants a salary of around 180,000 pounds/week.
Coach Ruben Amorim admitted that MU's financial situation is difficult and did not rule out the possibility of selling Mainoo to balance the budget. However, he still highly appreciated the player's potential.
Beckham reveals Messi's special request at Inter Miami
David Beckham said Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets often "provoked" him to join training with Inter Miami.

"Leo, Luis, Jordi, Sergio always teased me: 'Come on, train with us!'. I took a few free kicks and long passes, feeling excited. But maybe I shouldn't say this, because I'm from the generation that doesn't really warm up or stretch much," Beckham shared on Men's Health.
Beckham was instrumental in bringing Messi to Inter Miami in 2023. Currently, Messi's contract with the club will expire at the end of this year but he has confirmed that he wants to end his career here.
Ronaldo creates unbelievable statistics
On the morning of March 8, Ronaldo scored his 926th career goal when he helped Al Nassr draw 2-2 with Al Shabab in round 24 of the SPL. This goal helped CR7 equal the number of goals scored before and after the age of 30 (463 goals).

However, Al Nassr has almost no chance of winning the SPL championship when it is 10 points behind the leader Al Ittihad. Ronaldo was also withdrawn early to prepare for the AFC Champions League Elite.
