Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang gives Tet gifts to the poor in Anh Son district

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 8, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang and a working delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, and the Sun Flower Fund (Sun Group) presented Tet gifts to poor households in Duc Son commune, Anh Son district.

Also attending were leaders of Nghe An Department of Home Affairs, leaders of Anh Son district; Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province and monks and Buddhists.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang and the delegation along with sponsors kindly visited and encouraged families to overcome difficulties and strive to improve their lives, and presented 200 gifts to 200 poor households, people with disabilities, and orphans in Duc Son commune. Of these, 100 gifts were sponsored by the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province, 100 gifts were sponsored by the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, and the Sun Flower Fund (Sun Group).

These practical gifts will help poor households, people with disabilities, and orphans celebrate the traditional Tet holiday more warmly and fully.
