Prime Minister: Continue to effectively implement the vaccine strategy

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 12, under the direction of Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly, the National Assembly continued its final working session in the question and answer program.

STRIVE TO ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST TARGETS AND PLANS IN 2021

Speaking before the National Assembly, compatriots and voters nationwide, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the pandemic has affirmed the admirable results that our country has achieved in many fields. On the contrary, it has also revealed many limitations, weaknesses and systematic inadequacies in many sectors and at many levels.

However, according to the Prime Minister, in "danger" there is "opportunity", creating pressure and motivation for all levels, sectors, localities, people and businesses to continue to innovate thinking and actions to adapt to the new situation, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolutions set forth by the Party, National Assembly and Government.

The Government and the Prime Minister would like to share and sympathize with our compatriots and comrades for the spiritual and material losses, especially for families who have lost loved ones due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

“We honor, express our gratitude, thank and highly appreciate the efforts and contributions of all classes of people; the great dedication and selfless sacrifice of frontline forces, especially the health sector and military and police officers and soldiers, grassroots cadres, community working groups, and volunteer groups in preventing and fighting the epidemic, protecting the lives and health of the people. The Government requests that competent agencies propose and give high-level rewards to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in preventing and fighting the epidemic recently,” the Prime Minister expressed.

In the last months of 2021, the Prime Minister said that he will focus on directing the continued synchronous and effective implementation of tasks and solutions set out in the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government; and is urgently completing and submitting to competent authorities the Overall Strategy for Epidemic Prevention and Control and the Program for Socio-Economic Recovery and Development.

In particular, speed up the nationwide vaccination coverage; proactively prepare treatment drugs; focus on disease prevention and control for socio-economic development. Continue to promptly and effectively implement policies to support people and businesses.

Resolutely remove difficulties and obstacles for production and business; basically avoid obstacles and congestion in passenger transport and goods circulation; strive to achieve the highest level of the 2021 plan targets and facilitate the implementation of the plan for 2022 and the following years.

STRIVE TO COVER 2 VACCINE DOSES BY THE END OF 2021

Regarding the overall strategic orientation for Covid-19 prevention and control, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said: The Government requires all levels, sectors and localities to focus on implementing key tasks and solutions, including: Transforming thinking, methods, measures and implementation organization from non-Covid-19 management to risk management, minimizing deaths; effectively implementing Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP temporarily regulating "Safe, flexible adaptation, effective control of Covid-19 epidemic"; promptly researching, amending and supplementing inappropriate contents; ensuring consistent, focused and continuous direction from the central to local levels.

The Government also requires focusing on implementing well the epidemic prevention and control measures that have been summarized in the recent past. Absolutely do not be negligent or subjective. Focus on allocating resources and have specific plans to improve the capacity of the health system, especially preventive medicine and grassroots health care from now until the end of 2022. Continue to effectively implement the full and fastest vaccine strategy to vaccinate people as soon as possible; strive to have 2 injections by the end of 2021 to achieve 100% coverage for necessary subjects according to regulations.

At the same time, review and improve institutions, mechanisms and policies to mobilize resources for epidemic prevention and control, promote socialization and public-private partnership; continue to innovate human resource training to meet the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and have appropriate specific policies for medical staff and frontline forces in epidemic prevention and control.

Continue to promote the central role and subject of people and businesses in proactively organizing epidemic prevention and control and production and business, ensuring transportation and circulation of goods, and avoiding local congestion.

Along with that is promoting digital transformation, applying information technology; strengthening information and propaganda work, contributing to creating consensus, strengthening people's trust in epidemic prevention and control and socio-economic recovery and development.

The Prime Minister also said: In the coming time, the Government will focus on directing all levels and sectors to urgently overcome limitations and shortcomings; continue to review and synchronously implement solutions to provide timely, effective and practical support to people in difficulty, especially children orphaned by the Covid-19 epidemic; and strengthen the social security system based on three main pillars: prevention, mitigation and risk mitigation.

Continue to effectively implement current support policies; at the same time review, complete, and report to competent authorities a number of appropriate support mechanisms and policies for the most disadvantaged groups.

Focus on implementing policies for people with meritorious services, social assistance, job creation, sustainable poverty reduction and national target programs, promptly resolving social insurance regimes for workers...

Prioritize the allocation of State budget resources and the mobilization of social resources to contribute to the goal of improving the material and spiritual life of the people, especially those negatively affected by the epidemic.
